Step 1: Ship us your slides or photos:
Step 2: We scan your slides or photos:
- Upon receipt of your slides or photos our Receiving Department will inspect, sign-for, unpack, and check-in your slides or photos placing them in a special storage bin with internal and external barcode identification labels.
- We count your slides or photos and send you an e-mail notification indicating that we have received your slides or photos and the approximate date of completion.
- Your slides or photos are then processed by our Inspection Department. Here your slides or photos are inspected by our technicians using latex gloves, special lighting and compressed air. Torn, folded, stapled or severely damaged slides or photos are separated from their batches and placed in special envelopes that are returned to you.
- Upon completion of inspection, your slides or photos are then scanned by our Scanning Department. Our expert Scan Technicians unbatch, scan and rebatch your slides or photos keeping them in strict sequence.
If you included index cards with your batches these cards are scanned as well in order to enable you to identify each batch of slides or photos recorded on the DVD.
Step 3: We store your slides or photos on DVDs:
- Once your slides or photos are scanned the DVD Vault Department then prepares, crops, and stores your new digital slides or photos onto DVDs in jpeg format.
Your new digital slides or photos are recorded onto a DVD in serialized fashion as IMG000001.jpg; IMG000002.jpg; IMG000003.jpg and so forth.
An Arizona Scanning lightscribe label is then burned onto the face of your DVD. This label contains your name, the quantity of slides or photos recorded on the DVD,
either 3000-dpi (slides) or 600-dpi (photos) and the date the slides or photos were scanned.
- The Vault Department also archives your digital slides or photos onto a "Vault DVD" for offline storage. You can then order Vault DVDs in the future
should your original Arizona Scanning DVD get lost or damaged.
Step 4: We ship your originals and new DVDs:
- Finally, the Shipping Department will re-inspect, re-count and carefully re-pack your slides or photos. We ship your slides or photos and new DVDs back to you via traceable means.
Delivery confirmation is required so you or your representative will have to sign for the package upon its delivery.
Step 5: You preserve, share and enjoy your new DVDs:
- You enjoy, backup, share, enhance, display, preserve your digital images for all generations to come!
